Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in New York requiring EPIC experience and strong cardiac/telemetry skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Primary patient population includes cardiac and telemetry cases
• Neuro and stroke case experience is highly preferred
• Role requires interpreting, measuring, and documenting cardiac rhythms twice per shift
• EPIC EMR system is used and prior experience is required
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Candidates must be able to reliably meet attendance and unit reliability standards
• A 14-panel drug screen must be completed within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• No more than 5 days of time off (RTO) can be requested for this assignment
• Compliance with all medical and vaccination requirements is mandatory
• Candidates with previous employment at Glens Falls Hospital or Albany Med must disclose this information

Requirements

• Active New York RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of recent RN experience in Med/Surg Tele or Cardiac/Tele units required
• Proven competency with interpreting cardiac rhythms is required
• Prior travel experience is highly preferred
• Neuro or stroke unit experience is highly preferred
• Own vehicle required for work commute
