Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with strong Da Vinci robot skills and prior travel experience for a hospital-based setting.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Operating Room of a hospital outpatient department (HOPD), not an ambulatory surgery center
- Typical schedule is 3x12 hour shifts, 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Includes one weekend of call per six weeks
- Care covers all service lines except heart, vascular, and total joint
- Patient cases include general, urology, plastics, minor ortho, ENT, and GYN
- May be floated to the Main OR as needed for volume, staffing relief, and case turnover
- Responsibilities include circulating, room turnover, pulling cases, and supply management including stocking rooms
- Candidates are expected to handle a variety of surgical service lines excluding heart, vascular, and total joints
- Role may require assisting in different areas of the OR based on staffing needs
Requirements
- Active RN license for LA or compact state required
- Previous travel nursing experience is mandatory
- Strong experience with Da Vinci X robot required
- Experience with general, urology, and plastics surgeries required
- No local candidates accepted
