Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Respiratory unit night position in Ohio requiring recent telemetry and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work primarily on a respiratory unit caring for COVID patients within a hospital
• May float to other Med-Surg units including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarders
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Work every other weekend is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR is used and proficiency is required
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• COVID-19 patient care is expected on the respiratory unit
• Floating to several Med-Surg specialty areas may occur
• Candidates who fail the telemetry or Epic proficiency assessment on day one will be released from assignment
• Returning Genesis travelers must have worked within the past 9 months to be eligible

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience
• Ability to read telemetry strips is required and will be tested
• Epic electronic medical record proficiency required
