Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown Telemetry position in Illinois requiring IL and IA RN licenses, ACLS, and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital stepdown unit setting caring for intermediate acuity patients
• Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with 3x12 hour shifts per week
• Expected patient ratio is 1:4-5
• May be required to float across multiple campuses within the same discipline
• Required to work every other weekend
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide and manage patient care
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must not have been employed by the client within the past 12 months

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• Active IA RN license required or proof of application for IA single-state or compact RN license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown experience required
• Prior experience with the Epic EMR required
• One recent supervisory reference required
