Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a MD or compact RN license and successful completion of an EKG rhythm exam.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule of 3x12s from 18:50 to 07:20
• Every third weekend required as needed
• Primary assignment is to the Cardiac Telemetry unit with floating to Neuro Telemetry and Post Op/Observation units as needed
• Patient population includes cardiac, neurological, and post-operative cases
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Local candidates within 60 miles are eligible but will receive a different rate
• Team members may be floated between specified hospital units based on staffing needs

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
