Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a MD or compact RN license and successful completion of an EKG rhythm exam.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule of 3x12s from 18:50 to 07:20
- Every third weekend required as needed
- Primary assignment is to the Cardiac Telemetry unit with floating to Neuro Telemetry and Post Op/Observation units as needed
- Patient population includes cardiac, neurological, and post-operative cases
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Local candidates within 60 miles are eligible but will receive a different rate
- Team members may be floated between specified hospital units based on staffing needs
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
