Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU role requiring open heart ICU and ventilator management experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the CVICU of an acute care teaching hospital
• Care for cardiovascular surgical and post-open-heart recovery patients
• Responsible for hemodynamic monitoring and use of specialized equipment including Swans, IABP, and Impella devices
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Floating required to all three hospitals within a 20-mile radius
• Utilizes Epic for charting; Epic experience required
• Must complete time-sensitive modules as a priority following assignment confirmation
• All requested time off must be submitted up front; changes may not be accommodated
• White scrubs are required for this position
• Free parking is available in any unrestricted space
• Orientation date is typically 3-4 weeks from offer
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Assignments at any Cleveland Clinic location may not exceed 18 consecutive months, with a 6-month break required before re-assignment

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of consideration
• NIHSS certification required prior to starting assignment
• 1-2 years of open heart ICU experience with ventilator management required
• Experience with Swans, IABP, Impella, and hemodynamic monitoring required
• Experience using Epic EMR required
• Nicotine-free status required, with negative 10-panel and cotinine drug screen
