Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with adult and geriatric experience, IV skills, and the flexibility to float and take charge as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Medical Surgical unit
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
• Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00) with option for 4x12s
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating to other units as needed
• May be assigned charge responsibilities
• Expected to perform IV starts, wound care, and use wound vacs
• All requested time off must be included prior to contract confirmation; no RTO will be approved after confirmation
• No accommodations for concurrent per diem schedules or contracts
• Locals within a 60-mile radius are considered
• 30 minute lunch breaks are required
• Schedules are fixed and cannot be adjusted once the contract is confirmed

Requirements

• Active AL or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Fit Test required
• Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
