Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR Circulator RN with a TN or compact license and minimum 2 years of recent OR experience for a travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in an operating room setting as an OR Circulator
• Day shift options include 5x8s or 4x10s with 40 hours per week, shifts may vary as discussed in the interview
• On-call responsibilities for late team, specifics discussed during interview
• Rare floating between similar units and campuses within 20 miles may be required
• Uses Cerner EMR; Cerner experience is preferred
• No block scheduling is guaranteed
• Assignment requires willingness to work end-of-year holidays as applicable; must work 2 of 3 if all Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall during the assignment, or 1 of 2 if only two fall within assignment dates
• Returning employees must have a minimum 1-year separation before eligibility to return as a traveler
• All requested time off must be declared at time of application; additional requests will not be approved later
• Team provides floating support as needed across similar OR units
• Vaccination status is required at the time of consideration
• Plan to maintain required certifications throughout the contract must be provided if nearing expiration

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license at time of consideration and compliant with NLC guidelines
• At least 2 years of circulating OR experience with prior travel, or 3 years of OR experience without travel
• Prior completion of at least one travel assignment; no first-time travelers accepted
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
• Current BLS certification must be maintained throughout the assignment
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates within 100 miles will not be considered
