Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU Respiratory Therapist with recent travel experience and RRT certification for a rotating shift assignment.
Details
- Work in a Level 2 Trauma Center NICU providing cardiopulmonary and respiratory therapy services
- Care for neonatal patients requiring specialized respiratory support
- Rotating shifts with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week
- 13-week contract assignment
- No radius rule applies and local travelers are accepted
Requirements
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in North Dakota is required prior to start date (license required if applicable)
- RRT certification required
- Minimum 2 years of NICU respiratory therapy experience required
- Recent travel experience required, with preference for those who have completed 3 travel assignments
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required
Additional Information
- Perform and document patient assessments, diagnostic and therapeutic treatments, and patient education
- Respond to significant changes in patient condition and communicate with care team as needed
- Manage and maintain respiratory equipment, including cleaning and preventative maintenance
- Responsible for transporting infants to and from referral health systems as needed
- Complete all documentation, order entry, verification, medication charting, and incident reporting according to standard procedures
- Scrub or dress code requirements were not specified
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
