Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown Intermediate Care position with night shifts and cardiac care experience required.

Details

• Work in a hospital Stepdown Intermediate Care unit with a progressive cardiac care focus
• Patient population includes medical, cardiac, pre/post cardiovascular surgery, arrhythmia, heart failure, and stroke overflow
• 28-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required with Nursys verification
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (update interval based on facility protocol)
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience
• Must provide a US Social Security Number and a US home address

• Responsibilities include caring for patients with complex cardiac and medical needs in a stepdown environment
• Local candidates are accepted but subject to a reduced rate based on radius rules that vary by state
• COVID vaccination is not required as of July 1, 2023
