Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a dedicated education unit at a Level 1 trauma facility, requiring a GA or compact RN license and two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on a dedicated education Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Mixed Medical/Surgical patient population in a 30-bed unit
• Patient ratio is 5-6 patients per nurse
• Day shift, 12 hours per shift, three shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Travel nurses will provide direct care to Med/Surg patients and will not be responsible for educational duties
• Must be able to adapt to a busy unit in a trauma-level facility
• Professional references must be from supervisors or managers within the past two years
• Up-to-date resume with detailed facility and unit experience is required
• EMR experience should be indicated on resume

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum two years of experience in Med/Surg nursing
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma or mid-large hospital is required
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Demonstrated positive attitude and reliability
