Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a dedicated education unit at a Level 1 trauma facility, requiring a GA or compact RN license and two years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Work on a dedicated education Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
- Mixed Medical/Surgical patient population in a 30-bed unit
- Patient ratio is 5-6 patients per nurse
- Day shift, 12 hours per shift, three shifts per week
- No on-call requirements
- Travel nurses will provide direct care to Med/Surg patients and will not be responsible for educational duties
- Must be able to adapt to a busy unit in a trauma-level facility
- Professional references must be from supervisors or managers within the past two years
- Up-to-date resume with detailed facility and unit experience is required
- EMR experience should be indicated on resume
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum two years of experience in Med/Surg nursing
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma or mid-large hospital is required
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Demonstrated positive attitude and reliability
