Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a PACU position requiring a NY RN license, ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications, and one year of PACU experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the PACU unit of a short-term acute care hospital
• Care provided in both Phase I and Phase II PACU settings, including Endo/Laparoscopic, General, Orthopedic, Spine, and Total Joint cases
• Day shifts are 8 hours from 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• Two weekend call shifts and two weeknight call shifts required per month
• EMR used is Epic, with prior experience preferred
• Scrubs in teal are provided
• Accepts first-time travelers for this assignment
• Work in a 471-bed teaching hospital environment
• Call off policy is a maximum of 3 shifts per 13-week assignment; on-call in lieu of called off will count towards this total

Requirements

• Active NY RN license is required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Minimum of one year PACU nursing experience
• Experience with both Phase I and Phase II recovery required
• Local candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility
