Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a CT or compact license and trauma center experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a short-term acute care hospital on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Level I Trauma Center environment
• Average ratios are 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on PM shifts
• Epic EMR is used on this unit
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Returning employees must have a two-year break in service to be considered
• Only non-local candidates residing over 75 miles from the facility are eligible
• Up to 7 days of requested time off can be approved automatically
• Travelers participate in emergency or disaster response activities if required
• Parking is available for a monthly fee

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license (pending license accepted if active prior to start)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Experience working in a trauma center at a large facility is required
• Current BLS certification required
• Flu vaccine is required with no declinations permitted
• COVID-19 vaccine and booster required; exemptions only for documented medical or religious reasons
• Candidates must not have prior issues on their nursing license
