Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring a KY or Compact license, EPIC experience, and advanced dysrhythmia competency.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital-based Telemetry and Neuro Stepdown unit
Patient ratio of 1:4 on the unit
Cardiac monitoring and management of dysrhythmias are core responsibilities
Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00 – 07:00)
Uses EPIC electronic medical record system
Care for neuro, cardiac, gastrointestinal, renal, orthopedic, respiratory, and post-surgical patients
Responsibilities include cardiac interpretation and emergency response using rapid response teams
Provide care involving IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of various lines and drains
Manage complex patients including those with neurological injuries, renal failure, and orthopedic trauma
Administer and titrate cardiac drips, and manage respiratory support equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and HFNC
Adhere to isolation precautions and perform wound care including wound vac usage
Dress code and scrub requirements to be confirmed

Requirements

Active KY or Compact RN license required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Experience with EPIC EMR required
Must pass an advanced dysrhythmia (EKG) competency exam
Minimum two references required for consideration
