Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a MO or compact RN license and advanced cardiovascular care skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU unit of a hospital setting
• Float between ICU and telemetry units as needed
• Patient population includes critical care, stroke, and STEMI cases
• Night shifts with a 3x12 schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
• Required to work every other weekend unless staffing needs dictate otherwise
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Meditech EMR; prior experience preferred but strong learning ability accepted
• First-time travelers accepted if they meet the ICU experience requirement from a Level 1 center
• Navy blue scrubs required while on unit
• Direct patient care responsibilities involve advanced cardiovascular equipment and complex cases
• Weekend block scheduling may be considered but is not guaranteed

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience is required
• Impella and balloon pump experience required
• Demonstrated experience with stroke and STEMI care
