Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department Short Stay position requiring a NY RN license and EPIC experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department Short Stay Unit
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Care for patients requiring short-term observation and emergency interventions
• Utilizes EPIC EMR, with EPIC experience required
• No local candidates allowed from specified counties within a 50 mile radius
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call outs in a 13 week period may result in contract termination and makeup shifts must be completed within 6 weeks
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• RTO must be requested with application
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required per unit policy
• Competency testing may be required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in emergency nursing
• Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• EPIC EMR experience is required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
• Medical exemption for flu vaccine must be signed by a licensed professional
