Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with a MS or compact RN license and strong STEMI call experience.

Responsibilities

Position is located in a hospital Cath Lab within a Level I Trauma Center
Day shift, working 4x10 hour shifts from 6:30 to 17:00 with possible adjustments during interview
STEMI call required 7 to 12 days per month, including one full weekend (Friday through Sunday)
Weekend work is required as needed
Floating within like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur but is rare
No block scheduling is available
EMR system is Cerner; Cerner experience is preferred
STEMI call is a core job duty, with significant call volume including nights and weekends
RNs are expected to provide care to cardiac patients undergoing invasive and diagnostic procedures
Must be willing to work holiday shifts: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall during assignment, must work 2 of the 3; if 2, must work 1
Returning previous employees or travelers must have one year separation before returning
All time-off requests must be included at time of application; additional requests cannot be accommodated

Requirements

Active MS or compact RN license required; pending licensure not accepted
Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab RN experience required, with 3+ years preferred
At least one completed previous travel assignment is required; no first-time travelers accepted
Driver’s license is required for consideration
Current BLS certification required
ADN or higher nursing degree required for this position
Must comply with NLC guidelines
No local candidates accepted; must reside more than 100 miles from the facility
