Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a Home Health position serving a large Suffolk area, requiring recent home health and HCHB EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide home health OT services to patients within up to a 60-mile radius in the Suffolk area
• Geriatric patient population with an average daily caseload of 5-7 patients
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• No on-call requirements
• Utilize HCHB electronic medical record system
• Facility provides iPad for documentation purposes
• Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
• Complete timely documentation and maintain strong communication
• Scrubs of any color required; jeans are not permitted
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Local candidates are accepted at travel rates

Requirements

• Active Occupational Therapist license in hand (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 recent year of home health OT experience
• Oasis assessment experience required
• Experience with HCHB EMR required
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to work flexibly across an expansive territory
