Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg/Infectious Disease night shift assignment requiring a current NY state license and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Infectious Disease Med-Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient population includes those with infectious diseases on unit C4
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
• No blocked scheduling is allowed during the contract
• Local candidates residing in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
• Competency testing is required for applicants with less than 2 years of experience (two attempts permitted)
• Contract will be terminated for more than three call outs in a 13-week period; make-up shifts must be completed within six weeks
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this position
• Holiday coverage and adherence to hospital dress code are required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Med-Surg or Infectious Disease units
• Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• Epic EMR experience is required
• No 90-day or longer employment gaps within the past 12 months
• Flu vaccination required unless a medical exemption is provided by a licensed professional
• US Social Security Number required for consideration; Canadian SIN not accepted
