Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery travel assignment requiring a VA or compact license and relevant specialty certifications.

Responsibilities

Work in the Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Assignment duration is 13 weeks
Patient population includes laboring women and newborns
Provide high-quality nursing care throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate newborn period
Responsible for conducting fetal monitoring and assisting in obstetrical emergencies as necessary
Adhere to facility protocols and documentation standards
No local candidates allowed per 50 mile radius rule
Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment

Requirements

Active VA or compact state RN license
Minimum of 1 year recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
Intermediate or advanced AWHONN or NCCEFM fetal monitoring certification required
Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced 9th Edition certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics
No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
SSN and DOB must be provided for consideration
Candidates must reside outside a 50 mile radius from the facility; no local candidates accepted
Professional reference required; some states may require two
