Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery travel assignment requiring a VA or compact license and relevant specialty certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Assignment duration is 13 weeks
- Patient population includes laboring women and newborns
- Provide high-quality nursing care throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate newborn period
- Responsible for conducting fetal monitoring and assisting in obstetrical emergencies as necessary
- Adhere to facility protocols and documentation standards
- No local candidates allowed per 50 mile radius rule
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment
Requirements
- Active VA or compact state RN license
- Minimum of 1 year recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Intermediate or advanced AWHONN or NCCEFM fetal monitoring certification required
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced 9th Edition certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- SSN and DOB must be provided for consideration
- Candidates must reside outside a 50 mile radius from the facility; no local candidates accepted
- Professional reference required; some states may require two
