Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an inpatient oncology position requiring an active NC or compact RN license and recent clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an inpatient radiation oncology clinic
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
• Procedural clinic environment with oncology patient focus
• Patients will include those requiring radiation and chemotherapy infusion care
• Five 8-hour shifts per week with no weekend or night requirements
• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing radiation and infusion therapies
• Coordinate care using the nursing process with interdisciplinary team support
• Utilize bedside point of care testing and hospital-approved clinical protocols
• Assess and support patient education and discharge planning needs
• Active participation in professional development, unit goals, and performance improvement activities
• Adhere to safety, regulatory, and hospital policy requirements
• A clean drug screen and background check are mandatory before start

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or ARC
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a diploma, ADN, or ASN
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience
• Previous radiation oncology or oncology infusion experience preferred
• Experience in procedural clinic strongly preferred
