Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a small critical access hospital in Hawaii requiring a HI RN license and ED experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a small critical access hospital environment covering ER, acute, and LTC areas
• There are no separate units; RNs provide care where needed including Emergency Room, acute, and long-term care
• Schedule consists of six 12-hour shifts over a two-week period with every third weekend off
• If there are no ER patients, RN provides backup in acute and LTC areas
• RNs assigned to med pass perform medication administration and procedures for acute and LTC patients
• Orientation requires arrival in Hilo a day before the first appointment for HR and Employee Health clearance
• Initial paperwork and orientation are completed at the hospital after clearance
• This facility is not latex free

Requirements

• Active Hawaii RN license required by start date
• Minimum two years of Emergency Department RN experience required
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
