Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with robotics and ortho skills for a day shift travel assignment in Iowa requiring Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Position located in a hospital Operating Room with 14 beds
• Day shifts starting at 6:30 AM, 8 or 10 hour shifts based on staffing and case load, averaging 40 hours per week
• 1:1 patient ratio in the OR setting
• Includes call responsibilities: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month
• Utilizes robotics equipment including DaVinci Xi, Mako, and Rosa surgical systems
• Epic is the EMR used and proficiency is required
• Primary duties include circulating and providing perioperative nursing care in a surgical environment equipped with advanced robotics
• Preference given to candidates with prior scrub experience
• Must provide a skills checklist specific to operating room nursing
• Supervisory reference from within the last two years is preferred
• A 50-mile local radius rule applies
• Orientation consists of 16 hours
• Holiday coverage may be required as per facility policy

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC required
• Minimum 24 months of recent OR nursing experience required
• Experience with DaVinci robotics required
• Proficient in orthopedic procedures including total joints, spine, and general surgery
• Epic EMR experience required
• Recent travel experience within the last 24 months preferred
• Driver’s license required for consideration
