Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring a NC or compact RN license and recent ED experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• 36 hours per week on a 13-week contract
• Expected caseload includes a diverse emergency patient population
• Deliver competent clinical nursing care using the nursing process
• Participate in interdisciplinary team communications and care planning
• Perform patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for complex emergency cases
• Utilize point-of-care testing as required for patient care
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and promote a secure environment
• Engage in ongoing professional development and education as needed

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum of two years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
