Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring overnight shifts and tele strip interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend is required
• Patient care involves medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring
• Floating may occur as per unit or hospital staffing needs
• Medical-surgical telemetry nursing responsibilities include monitoring patients and interpreting telemetry results
• Holiday coverage may be required per unit policy
• Candidates may need to complete a video interview as part of the process
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required and must be in hand
• Minimum of one year recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Ability to interpret and sign off on telemetry strips required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required before interview
• Two supervisory references from the past two most recent assignments are required for consideration
