Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity Med/Surg Surgery Trauma position on a spinal, neuro, and trauma surgical floor, requiring GA or compact RN licensure.
Responsibilities
- Work on the Surgery Trauma unit specializing in spinal neuro trauma and surgical cases
- Patient population includes spinal injuries, neuro trauma, surgical trauma, gunshot wounds, quadriplegic, and paraplegic cases
- High-acuity hospital environment
- Day shift, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
- Block scheduling is not available; must be flexible with assigned shifts
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Epic EMR with experience required
- Primary responsibilities include managing care for trauma, spinal, and neuro-surgical patients
- No requested time off (RTO) will be honored during the contract
- Candidate must have a detailed work history with no employment gaps greater than 60 days
- Two supervisory references from similar experience within the last two years are required
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical/surgical trauma or relevant specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Prior experience with Epic EMR is required
