Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity Med/Surg Surgery Trauma position on a spinal, neuro, and trauma surgical floor, requiring GA or compact RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work on the Surgery Trauma unit specializing in spinal neuro trauma and surgical cases
• Patient population includes spinal injuries, neuro trauma, surgical trauma, gunshot wounds, quadriplegic, and paraplegic cases
• High-acuity hospital environment
• Day shift, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
• Block scheduling is not available; must be flexible with assigned shifts
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic EMR with experience required
• Primary responsibilities include managing care for trauma, spinal, and neuro-surgical patients
• No requested time off (RTO) will be honored during the contract
• Candidate must have a detailed work history with no employment gaps greater than 60 days
• Two supervisory references from similar experience within the last two years are required

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical/surgical trauma or relevant specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Prior experience with Epic EMR is required
