Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity Med/Surg Surgery Trauma unit with strong Neuro Trauma experience and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital setting on the Surgery Trauma (6B) floor
• Patient population includes Spinal Neuro Trauma Surgical cases, gun shot wounds, quadriplegic, and paraplegic patients
• Day shifts with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Block scheduling is not available; must be flexible to work assigned shifts
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
• No RTO (requests for time off) will be approved for this assignment
• Responsibilities include caring for high-acuity trauma and surgical patients with diverse and complex needs
• Must be willing to provide care for patients with spinal neuro trauma, gunshot wounds, and both quadriplegic and paraplegic diagnoses
• Professional attire and appropriate identification badge required

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• BLS required and ACLS preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Surgery Trauma experience
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
