Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with experience in outpatient and inpatient settings and a current state license for a 13-week contract.

Responsibilities

• Work primarily in an outpatient rehabilitation therapy setting with approximately 10% inpatient responsibilities
• Eight-hour shifts for a total of 32 hours per week
• Treats patients with a variety of conditions including post-accident, post-surgical, degenerative, or terminal disease recovery
• Collaborates with speech therapists and other healthcare providers for patient care
• Responsibilities include patient evaluation, individualized treatment planning, manual therapy, and exercise instruction
• Maintains detailed records of patient progress and collaborates with other providers on care plans
• Expected to attend in-services, staff meetings, and contribute to quality improvement processes
• Participates in team-based care, reporting patient status and supporting other staff
• No radius requirement for local candidates

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited physical therapy program required
• Current Physical Therapist state license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Experience working directly with patients in a long term care or hospital setting required
• Strong documentation skills and excellent verbal communication required
• Ability to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served
