Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN with at least 2 years of trauma center experience, a CT or compact license, and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Position located in a short-term acute care hospital at a Level I Trauma Center
• Telemetry unit caring for adult patients
• Patient ratios are 1:4 during day shifts and 1:5 during night shifts
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, 19:00-07:30
• Must float within scope to meet facility needs
• Uses Epic charting system; Epic experience preferred
• No on-call requirements
• Care for patients within a Level I Trauma Center environment
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• Team-based nursing support structure
• Facility provides auto approval for up to 7 days of requested time off; RTO beyond 7 days requires special approval
• Travelers may be required to participate in emergency response activities including natural disasters

Requirements

• Active CT or compact state RN license required prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years direct RN experience in a large trauma center setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Pending license accepted but must be active before starting
• Flu vaccination required with no declinations accepted
• COVID-19 vaccine and booster required unless a medical or religious exemption is approved
• Applicants with a prior nursing license issue are not eligible
• Must have been absent as perm staff for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
• Local candidates not accepted if residing within 75 miles
