Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a VA or compact license and Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department within a hospital setting
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Scheduled mids, typically 11:00 to 23:00 shifts
• Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• 36 or 48 hour workweeks available
• Float may be required according to clinical experience
• Epic EMR experience is preferred
• Responsible for providing emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a high-acuity environment
• Team-based care model with multidisciplinary support
• Up to 40 hours of requested time off permitted during the assignment
• Must not have worked as a traveler in the same system within the last 12 months
• No radius rule; local candidates are accepted
• Holiday coverage is required per schedule
• Background check disclosures should be communicated prior to consideration

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license, or license pending at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• TNCC certification required before start (pending accepted at time of consideration)
• Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required
• Must have at least 1 year Level 1 trauma or 2 years Level 2 trauma experience, including pediatric experience
• Two professional references required
• Copies of required certifications, driver’s license, and social security card needed for consideration
