Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a VA or compact license and Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Department within a hospital setting
- Assignment duration is 13 weeks
- Scheduled mids, typically 11:00 to 23:00 shifts
- Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
- 36 or 48 hour workweeks available
- Float may be required according to clinical experience
- Epic EMR experience is preferred
- Responsible for providing emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a high-acuity environment
- Team-based care model with multidisciplinary support
- Up to 40 hours of requested time off permitted during the assignment
- Must not have worked as a traveler in the same system within the last 12 months
- No radius rule; local candidates are accepted
- Holiday coverage is required per schedule
- Background check disclosures should be communicated prior to consideration
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license, or license pending at time of consideration
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- TNCC certification required before start (pending accepted at time of consideration)
- Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required
- Must have at least 1 year Level 1 trauma or 2 years Level 2 trauma experience, including pediatric experience
- Two professional references required
- Copies of required certifications, driver’s license, and social security card needed for consideration
