Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a VA or compact RN license and recent Level 1 or 2 trauma experience.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in a hospital Emergency Department
  • Patient population includes adults and pediatric patients in an ER setting
  • Mid shift schedule, 3x12-hour days from 11:00 to 23:00
  • Requires work every other weekend and every other holiday
  • Contract duration is 13 weeks with potential for 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Floating may be required according to clinical experience
  • Maximum of 40 hours of time off is allowed during the 13-week contract
  • Holiday coverage is required as part of the rotating schedule
  • Twelve months must pass before returning as a traveler
  • No minimum distance or radius requirement for applicants
  • Candidates should notify the Account Manager if there are any known background hits

Requirements

  • Active VA or compact state RN license (will consider pending VA license)
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (TNCC may be pending at submission but must be active before starting)
  • At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
  • Must have minimum 1 year Level 1 trauma or 2 years Level 2 trauma center experience, including some pediatric experience
  • Epic EMR experience preferred for assignments in float pool or inpatient units
