Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a highly surgical Level 4 NICU position with night shifts and floating requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Level 4 NICU of a hospital setting
  • Night shifts with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30)
  • Care for patients from 23 weeks gestational age up to 1 year old
  • Patient diagnoses include PPHN, NEC, BPD, tracheostomy/G-button evaluations, pre-op cardiac anomalies, gastroschisis, and hydrocephalus
  • Required to float first to PICU, CCU, or med-surg units for patients with similar skill sets
  • Staff must work one additional shift every three weeks during high census periods
  • Responsibilities include monitoring, assessment, and care of complex neonatal patients
  • Must be comfortable working with a variety of neonatal diagnoses and complex surgical cases
  • This is a night shift position
  • Strong ability to adapt to different units and patient populations is needed

Requirements

  • Active NE or compact RN license required
  • Significant NICU experience required
  • Experience in Level 4 NICU and with highly surgical cases preferred
