Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a MD or compact RN license and strong critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend shifts are required
• Holiday coverage is required as scheduled
• Floating may be required within PACU, ICU/critical care, lower acuity units, and to sister hospitals as needed
• On-call status may be assigned during low census, but no scheduled on-call shifts
• Provide post-anesthesia care for patients in a dynamic PACU environment
• Must be flexible and adaptable to float between units or sister hospitals as needed
• Team-oriented environment with collaborative support
• Scheduled holidays must be worked as assigned

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience required
• Will consider first-time travelers with strong ICU or critical care experience
