Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift position on an Ortho/Neuro/Peds floor requiring BLS and at least one year of recent Med/Surg experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is located on a Medical Surgical unit with Ortho, Neuro, and Peds patient populations
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend is required
• Minimal to no time off permitted, especially around holidays
• 13-week assignment with possible extension
• Royal blue scrubs are required but not provided
• Up to 8 hours of HealthStream online modules must be completed prior to start
• Two professional references are required for consideration
• Local candidates are accepted at a local pay rate if residing within 31-50 miles of the facility; not accepted if residing within 30 miles
• Minimal requested time off must be submitted up front, with flexibility especially during holidays

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of one year recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Ability to perform intermediate floor management and IV starts required
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred
• Must reside more than 30 miles from the facility to qualify for traveler status
• Copy of driver's license required to verify residence for eligibility
