Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Neuro ICU RN with a MO or compact license, ACLS/BLS certifications, and strong neuro and stroke care skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Neuro ICU unit of a hospital setting
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30
• Cares for neurological patients with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Required to work every other weekend and at least 50% of holidays
• Floating to ICU and Med Surg units as needed
• EMR is Cerner; experience preferred but not required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Role requires providing specialized care to neurological and stroke patients
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, including during inclement weather
• Routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
• Local candidates are accepted but must live at least 75 miles from the facility for travel rate eligibility
• Time off requests must be submitted at the time of application

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year in ICU required
• Demonstrated neuro ICU and stroke experience required
• CPI certification preferred (may be completed onsite if not already held)
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including ambulating and moving objects over 20 lbs
