Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a busy adult surgical Med/Surg unit with recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience and a valid NH or compact license.

Responsibilities

• 36-bed adult surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes orthopedic, trauma, plastics, and general surgery cases
• Main focus on mobilizing and rehabilitating post-surgical patients
• Day and night rotating shifts
• Telemetry monitoring is required
• Responsibilities include caring for post-surgical, orthopedic, and trauma patients, with a focus on patient mobility and rehabilitation
• Must be able to handle a fast-paced, busy unit
• No local candidates permitted per the 75-mile radius rule

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Recent experience in Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma center within the last two years
• Proven competency with chest tubes, central lines, trachs/laryngectomies, and complex wounds
• Experience managing post-surgical patients with tubes, drains, lines, and administering drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone
• 75-mile radius rule applies; local candidates are not eligible
