Job Description

American Traveler seeks a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of recent acute care experience and BLS certification for an inpatient hospital assignment.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient acute care setting at a trauma level III hospital
• Typical patient population includes post-op, neuro, general debility, COPD, and CHF cases
• 5 eight-hour day shifts per week, with rotating weekends and holiday coverage unless RTO approved
• May float between facilities in Cleveland and Kings Mountain
• EPIC EMR used for documentation; prior experience preferred but not required
• Primary responsibilities involve evaluating and treating acute care patients with diverse diagnoses
• Collaborative department with a supportive team environment
• 4-5 days onboarding to department provided
• Required to work all holidays unless prior RTO is approved
• Scrub color is light gray
• Free parking available on-site
• Open to first-time travelers with previous acute care PT/OT experience

Requirements

• Active physical therapy license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 12 months of recent acute care physical therapy experience within the last year
• One professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the past year
• Must provide last four digits of SSN and full DOB for consideration
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from facility; locals not accepted
• Returning employees must have been separated for at least 1 year after previous permanent position
