Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics night shift position requiring at least one year of specialty experience and an active MT or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute Orthopedics unit in a hospital setting
- 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
- May be required to float to other departments within skill scope
- May have on-call responsibilities during scheduled shifts
- Perform independent and delegated nursing functions, including patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Provide health teaching and counseling to patients
- Collaborate with the medical team and support delegated care tasks
- Document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year prior to eligibility for this travel assignment
- Specific laboratory testing and background check requirements must be completed promptly upon assignment commitment
Requirements
- Active MT or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Orthopedics required
- ASN from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Current BLS certification from AHA required; ACLS, PALS, or NRP preferred as appropriate for unit
- Must have completed documents for consideration: copies of certifications, date of birth, and last four digits of SSN
- No pending licenses accepted
