Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics night shift position requiring at least one year of specialty experience and an active MT or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute Orthopedics unit in a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week
• Uses Epic EMR for charting
• May be required to float to other departments within skill scope
• May have on-call responsibilities during scheduled shifts
• Perform independent and delegated nursing functions, including patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provide health teaching and counseling to patients
• Collaborate with the medical team and support delegated care tasks
• Document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year prior to eligibility for this travel assignment
• Specific laboratory testing and background check requirements must be completed promptly upon assignment commitment

Requirements

• Active MT or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Orthopedics required
• ASN from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current BLS certification from AHA required; ACLS, PALS, or NRP preferred as appropriate for unit
• Must have completed documents for consideration: copies of certifications, date of birth, and last four digits of SSN
• No pending licenses accepted
