Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Rad Tech with cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology experience, current ARRT and IEMA licensure, and proficiency with Epic in a Level 1 Trauma setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cardiac catheterization and special procedures lab
• Adult patient population with cardiovascular procedural focus
• Procedures include cardiac cath, interventional radiology, and the potential for neuro and EP interventions
• Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience required
• Monday to Friday schedule, 4x10 hour days from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Rotating on-call required: every third weekend and 1-2 weekdays per week
• Float to all procedural areas within scope as needed
• Administer contrast material and medications according to physician direction and within scope
• Anticipate and set up for invasive procedures, assist with inventory and supplies
• Assist physicians during interventional procedures and function as scrub and monitor technician
• Must maintain sterile field and perform basic troubleshooting of imaging and monitoring equipment
• RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13 week contract
• Not open to local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Not eligible for local travel pay rate
• Dress code or scrub details not specified; inquire if needed
• Returning travelers must have a 6-month break in service after 1 year of assignment before returning

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• ARRT (R) and IEMA Radiography License (IL) required; license required if applicable
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (speak, read, write)
