Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Level II Trauma facility in Alabama, requiring night shift availability and an active AL RN license.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a 400-bed, Level II Trauma hospital
• 42-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Telemetry monitoring experience required; oncology, chemotherapy monitoring, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and port access experience are a plus
• Candidates must reside more than 90 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent staff of this facility are ineligible for travel roles for 10 years
• After 2 consecutive contracts, travelers must take a 6-month break before returning (exceptions considered case-by-case)
• Two professional references are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active Alabama RN license or compact license valid in Alabama, required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Experience in large healthcare facility settings preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred, though candidates with substantial clinical experience may be considered
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
