Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with outpatient orthopedic experience for a 13-week contract offering 1:1 patient sessions with no patient overlap.
Responsibilities
- Outpatient orthopedic clinic setting with treatment rooms surrounding a large gym space
- 4x10-hour day shifts per week (2 days 7am–5pm, 2 days 7am–6pm)
- 1:1, 60-minute patient sessions with no overlapping appointments
- Patient population includes orthopedic conditions such as total knee/hip replacement, post-op spinal and shoulder surgeries, low back pain, DDD, DJD, sciatica, and various extremity injuries
- Epic EMR; experience preferred
- Local candidates accepted (at a different rate); must reside within 50 miles of the facility
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- 2 supervisor references required after offer
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial profile submission
- Travel pairs are accepted
- Candidates with a latex allergy cannot be accommodated at this facility
- Return staff must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- WI PT license or compact license required; pending license acceptable
- Orthopedic PT experience required
- Post-op spinal surgery experience required
- Experience with spinal conditions, spinal mobilization, and extremity mobilization preferred
- Proficiency in standard PT assessments including AROM/AAROM/PROM, pain assessment, and strength testing
- Experience with gait training and use of assistive devices (gait belt, standard walker, crutches)
- Experience documenting evaluations, plans of care, short/long-term goals, reassessments, and discharge summaries
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- WI or compact PT license required in hand for consideration
- License required if applicable
