Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for an inpatient rehab position in a hospital setting, requiring a CA PT license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 13-week contract
• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and implementing individualized physical treatment programs to improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and address disabling conditions
• Develops and updates patient Plans of Care (POC) based on evaluation findings and diagnosis
• Coordinates patient care with interdisciplinary team members and other care providers
• Provides clinical supervision to PT assistants and aides, and serves as clinical instructor for assigned students
• Participates in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects
• Flexible shift assignments across days of the week may be required
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved per contract
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

Requirements

• Current CA Physical Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• 2 supervisor references from within the past two years required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications required for consideration
