Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care/ICU position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and Epic proficiency, with 12-hour night shifts and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Critical Care/ICU unit within an inpatient hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling
• Minimum every other weekend required, with schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• Floating is required for this position
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR is used in this unit
• Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays
• All employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained
• Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR system, and facility type
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during the months of November through April
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local; candidates living 51–100 miles away qualify for the radius rate; distance is measured in a straight line, not by driving distance

Requirements

• Active VT RN license or compact RN license required; NY candidates will be considered with proof of a pending NY license
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
• CCRN and AHA PALS certifications are preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience required
• Epic experience from within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
• Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor are required, with at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
