Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 32-bed Surgical ACE unit at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring proven experience in high-volume, high-pressure hospital environments.
Details
- Work on a 32-bed Surgical ACE unit (5A) within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
- Adult and older adult patient population, including trauma cases
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Responsibilities include managing Heparin drips and all acute medications as ordered
- Specialty equipment includes gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment
- EMR: Epic (experience required)
- 12-hour night shifts, 4 shifts per week
- 4 weekend shifts required per month
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Documented Med/Surg Telemetry experience required (must be reflected on skills checklist)
- Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with complex and diverse cases required
- Background in large-scale trauma settings with fast-paced, critical care situations required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- This facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center — candidates with experience only in small or low-volume hospitals are not a strong fit for this role
- Prior Skilled Nursing, Rehab, or NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) training is a plus
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- No RTO (time-off requests) will be approved for this assignment
