Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an IMC/Intermediate Care position requiring PCU/Stepdown experience, EKG competency, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15
• Every other weekend required, with scheduling directed by operational need
• Floating required to Telemetry and Med/Surg units as needed (patient ratios of 1:5–1:6 on float units)
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract
• Provide intermediate care nursing to patients requiring close monitoring and stepdown-level interventions
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible to apply

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU, IMC, or Stepdown RN experience required
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
