Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a MA RN license and a minimum of 3–5 years of nursing experience, including critical care background.

Responsibilities

• 4x10-hour day shifts per week, 7:30am–6:00pm, Monday–Friday with variability in day off
• Rotating call required: Monday–Friday 6pm–11pm and Saturday–Sunday 7am–11am
• Holiday coverage required; weekends as needed
• Interventional Radiology department serving pediatric, adult, elderly, and acutely/chronically ill inpatient and outpatient populations
• Nurse will assist radiologists with special procedures and perform conscious sedation monitoring
• Specialized equipment used includes monitors, infusion pumps, O2 equipment, and ventilators
• Provide nursing care to inpatient and outpatient populations across the age spectrum, including critically ill patients
• Responsible for administering conscious sedation and other medications as appropriate
• Administer care during radiological procedures and intervene in emergency situations
• Provide patient and family health education and procedural information
• Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be considered at a reduced rate

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts (MA) RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 3–5 years of nursing experience required
• Critical care experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency in IV skills, physical assessment, and aseptic technique
• Must be able to recognize and document contrast reactions and ECG changes
• Computer skills required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Active MA RN license must be in hand for consideration
