Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg position in Carlsbad, NM, requiring 2+ years of experience, ACLS, BLS, and a NM or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Day shift position, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week travel contract
• General Medical-Surgical inpatient unit with a Rehab unit component
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Floating and on-call are required
• EMR: MedHost
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Scrub color: any color permitted
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated upon request

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS and BLS required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2+ years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Fingerprinting required for all travelers working in New Mexico
