Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg night shift position in Carlsbad, NM, requiring 2+ years of experience and active NM or Compact RN licensure.

Details

• General Medical-Surgical inpatient unit, with potential float to the Rehab unit
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Floating and on-call are required
• EMR: MedHost
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the contract start date
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Fingerprinting is required for all travelers working in New Mexico; this process can take several weeks
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Block scheduling may be accommodated upon request
