Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week assignment at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.
Responsibilities
- Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting with 35 beds
- Adult patient population including neurological diagnoses (stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury), orthopedic injuries, amputations, debility, and other complex conditions
- Patient ratio of 6:1
- Day shift, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- On-call requirement of approximately 1 shift every 4 weeks
- Weekends available on request
- Potential to float to a North Campus location
- EHR system: UDS
- State-of-the-art therapy facilities including large modern therapy gyms, an outdoor therapy courtyard, an ADL apartment, EksoNR robotic exoskeleton, and REAL y-Series virtual reality rehab tools
- Inpatient rehab experience, particularly in an acute or rehabilitation hospital setting, is highly preferred
- Candidates must have a permanent address located more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- Flu vaccination is required; candidates who qualify for a medical or religious exemption must complete a facility-specific exemption form and provide email approval — those with an approved exemption must wear a mask from November 1 through March 31
- Black scrubs are required
- A cooperative, team-player attitude is important for this role
Requirements
- Current, active Oklahoma OT license required — license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate)
- Basic computer knowledge and strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Social Security number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
- RQI certifications are not accepted
