Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with home health experience for a full-time, 13-week travel contract covering a multi-county home health territory in Michigan.

Responsibilities

Home health setting covering Van Buren, Calhoun, and Kalamazoo Counties
Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (5x8-hour shifts)
Every other weekend required, with a compensatory day off during the rotation week
No call or float requirements
13-week contract
Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with injuries, musculoskeletal, nerve, and bone conditions to restore function, improve strength, relieve pain, and enhance independence
Clinical duties include functional assessments, standardized testing, treatment planning, goal setting, patient and family education, and direct individual or group therapy
May design and fabricate splints and other assistive devices as needed
Participates in interdisciplinary rounds, program development, and department process improvement initiatives
May serve as a resource or provide in-services within the rehabilitation system
Administrative duties include timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes within the electronic health record
A phone interview with the team leader is required prior to placement

Requirements

Active Michigan PT license required (license required if applicable)
Current BLS certification (AHA) required
Minimum of 1 year of recent home health PT experience required
Valid Michigan driver's license, daily access to a personal vehicle for business use, and proof of auto insurance required
